Over many decades in business, I’ve consistently encountered challenges, changes, and moments of doubt. Yet, one of the most distinguishing attributes that separates successful entrepreneurs and high-ranking corporate leaders from the rest is not the lack of challenges they face but rather the mindset with which they approach these obstacles. Central to this success-driven mindset is a growth mindset and its indispensable companion, resilience.

When Satya Nadella took the reins of Microsoft in 2014, the tech giant was experiencing stagnant growth and was often perceived as being left behind in the innovation race. Nadella, however, introduced a transformative cultural shift by emphasizing a growth mindset. One of his first actions as CEO was to distribute copies of Dr. Carol Dweck’s book “Mindset” to all Microsoft senior leaders, signaling a move from a “know-it-all” culture to a “learn-it-all” one.
